FMP practice in Y2
FMP practice in Y2 w/ EXAMPLES
My examples: [Alex Coe]
Last years FMP
Title sequence work
Context
Ambitions and clarify purpose
For my Title sequence work I showed comprehensive understanding and knowledge of context and used this to communicate concepts and clarify purpose. Right from the start of the project I was already articulating what I wanted to create in my mind and from my extensive ambitions it was already set in stone on what I wanted.
Research
Range of relevant sources to support ideas
The research I conducted for last year’s FMP shows a thorough understanding of a range of relevant sources with sustained research and investigation into information that I could develop ideas from.
Problem solving
Decisive decision-making and initiative
An example of my problem solving can be found within my FMP last year as I had to make a large decision as to whether I should use a vector based design for my main piece or just use a multitude of filters and exporting techniques.
Planning and production
Detailed and coherent planning, continuous evaluation against aims, efficient production
During the planning and production of both my FMP and Title sequence work I showed detailed and coherent planning with efficient production. However I missed a vital part and did not do a continuous evaluation of my planning nor production against my aims.
Practical skills
In depth understanding skills and knowledge demonstrated
My practical skills were tested in both last year's FMP and the Title sequence work. I believe my skills were better demonstrated in the FMP as I showed aesthetic awareness and an imaginative process with skills and knowledge applied throughout the whole project.
Evaluation and reflection
Maturity in decision making, clarity, perceptive analysis
My evaluation of my title sequence work was a great example for my maturity in decision making, clarity and perceptive analysis since I had questions to base my evaluation off of. Due to the questions it was easier for me to accomplish a professional communication of perspective analysis and interpretation. write about an evaluation and therefore have a better reflection of my work.
Presentation
Confident selection of ideas to an intended audience
My presentation of ideas and my general confidence was high for my Title sequence project as I was a lot more free with what medium I wanted to use, ie I didn’t have to film anything if I didn’t need to. I could create what I wanted. With this in mind I was very confident about my ideas to the intended audience. The organisation of my presentations was a little lackluster but it did communicate my ideas. I believe I demonstrated my personal style and an ambitious use of available resources to show that my ideas are effective and that I was confident with them.
